It is a recognition award that is offered periodically every two years for the distinguished applied researches, projects and efforts exerted in the fields of agricultural sector development and natural resource conservation in the Arab arid and semi-arid areas, for the purpose of achieving a better economic and social environment for the life of the Arab citizen. It is awarded within the framework of ACSAD supporting and sponsoring efforts and initiatives to reach a sustainable Arab agricultural development.<\/span><\/p>\n

Objectives:\"\"<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Contribute to the transfer of the modern scientific and technical knowledge to the Arab agricultural sector.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Encourage applied scientific researches in the field of sustainable agricultural management to increase land productive capacity, control land degradation, develop agriculture, conserve environmental situation and biodiversity in Arab arid areas, develop local rural communities and encourage their participation in the Arab agricultural development process.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Appreciate the applied scientific efforts exerted in finding out practical solutions for facing the obstacles of Arab agriculture, and benefit from the scientific and technical developments in agricultural resource use rationalization and conservation in the arid areas.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Recognize the contributions of individuals, institutions and commissions in developing scientific techniques and researches that increase the production and productivity of arid areas.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Support and encourage the developed innovations and techniques that could develop the agricultural environment of arid areas.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1-The specialization of the individuals and the activities of the scientific commissions and institutions nominated for the award, should comply with the award objectives in supporting scientific research to develop Arab agriculture in arid areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

    2-The nominated work should present new ideas and mechanisms, and should have a direct impact in terms of achieving encouraging practical results.<\/span><\/p>\n

    3-The nominated works should be innovative and creative, or should translate world experiences in a successful applied way that complies with Arab conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

    4-The nominated works should have a strategic dimension and should present an important applied addition that could serve the Arab agriculture development.<\/span><\/p>\n

    5-The nominated works should contribute to finding out solutions or overcoming obstacles that hinder the development and progress of Arab agricultural sector in arid and semi-arid areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

    6-The nominated works should meet the urgent current agricultural requirements of the Arab agricultural sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

    7-The nominated researches should meet the scientific research requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n
