The network achievements included:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Distinguished scientific publications of scientific reports, books and atlases.<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Training workshops including a workshop on red palm weevil in 2000.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">In this context, five sub-networks were established:<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Variety improvement sub-network (Morocco).<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Production techniques sub-network (Egypt).<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Integrated pest management sub-network (Saudi Arabia).<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Date fruit post-harvesting technique sub-network (UAE).<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Economic and social studies sub-network (Syria).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Develop a date palm tree program in 2003 under ACSAD\u2019s organizational structure (a fixed main program among the programs of plant resources department).<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Carry out the ACSAD-funded project of \u201cEvaluation and Selection of New Seed Palm Tree Varieties in some Arab Countries; Egypt, Syria and Saudi Arabia\u201d during the period 2006-2011. The project included:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Gene banks establishment.<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Variety propagation and cultivation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Carry out the ACSAD-funded project of \u201cService Process Development of Vertical and Horizontal Palm Tree Orchards to Increase Production and Improve Quality in the Arab Region\u201d during the period 2015-2019 in Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Somalia, Algeria, Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Mauritania and Sudan. The project included:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Increasing date production both in quantity and quality.<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Raising the efficiency of workers and farmers.<\/li>\n<li style=\"direction: ltr; text-align: left;\">Improving the economic level of palm tree
