Tounisia & ACSAD // Cooperation
The Tunisian Minister of agriculture, water resources, and fisheries, Akissa Bahri, discussed the cooperation relations and the ways of developing it with Dr. Abdul-Majeed Al-Qaderi, the manager of land administration and water uses in the Arab center for the studies of Arid Zones and Drylands, the General Engineer Muhammed Nasri, the manager of the livestock management, and Hafez Khalif, the director of ACSAD regional office.
The Minister also discussed with the delegation of ACSAD the procedures taken to establish the regional office of ACSAD in Tunisia for the importance of its presence as a focal point with the whole Arab Maghreb countries, as well as the activation of research projects for the experimental stations in the agricultural sector (Sawaf Station, and Al Waslatiya); in addition to other research stations (Fritiseya village). Furthermore, expanding cooperation in the fields of agriculture grain, livestock, and forage crops.
The Tunisian Minister thanked the Director-General of the ACSAD, Dr. Nasr Edin Obaid, for congratulations that the ACSAD delegation conveyed to heron the occasion of her new position, stressing the importance of cooperation between Tunisia and the organization, hoping for more cooperation between the two sides in the future for the benefit of Tunisia and ACSAD.
