Framework memorandum of understanding between the Syrian Trust for Development with the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid zones and Dry lands “ACSAD”

As a part of its keenness to build strategic partnership with national, Arab and international organizations in order to find sustainable solutions to agricultural development challenges, the Syrian Trust for Development concluded a framework memorandum of understanding with the Arab Center for the Studies Arid zoner and Dry lands.
In this memorandum the Trust seeks to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences to achieve the optimal investment of natural resources in the agricultural field (vegetable and animal) as the programs, projects and activities included in this memorandum will be implemented in the targeted Syrian governorates within the development plans of the Syrian trust for development that work hand in hand with individuals and communities to build vibrant and strong communities.
This memorandum, signed with the ACSAD center, as an Arab organization specialized in achieving sustainable agricultural development, establishes a network of technical capabilities, new technologies and collective experiences that make individual projects better results, and helps define frameworks for cooperation and coordination between the two parties in partnership with local communities to plan, implement and support programs, projects and activities and strategic initiatives and studies that contribute to the development of the agricultural reality in Syria, both plant and animal.
Under the memorandum, technical scientific and administrative consultations will be provided, annual executive plans will be develop and included, including performance goals and indicators capacity-building of local community members through specialized training, in addition to preparing an annual work plan for planting “aromatic medicinal, fodder, and fruit trees …etc, and carrying out studies and analyzes that it supports the distribution of the cultivation map of these plants in the targeted areas, including identifying the reality of water need and replacing the imported product in support of official plans, in addition to providing farmers with scientific and technical expertise, especially in areas affected by the fires of 2020.
During twenty-one years of experience in the field of community development, the Syrian Trust for Development seeks to strengthen its partnership with government agencies, specialized civil institutions, and experts in order to achieve its sustainable development goals in cooperation with the local communities in which it operates by strengthening and developing the skills and potentials of these individuals communities, building vivid and strong communities and providing basic keys to facing life’s challenges and changes.
