ACSAD… Arabian training course / the safe uses of fertilizers and their impact on the productivity increase
The Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dryland ACSAD has held a training course via videoconference on the safe uses of fertilizers and their impacts on the productivity increase of crops, aiming to support food and rovide it optimally healthily
Dr Nasr Edin Obaid, the Arab Center’s Director-General, confirmed in a speech during the course opening the importance of fertilizers in all their types in the field of agriculture, which contribute to food security and increase it. The pilot role of ACSAD Organization in their indicative uses and the safe methods to add them, which work on limiting cover plant and land deterioration as well as reducing the financial expenditure and soil deterioration
His Excellency explained the methods of manufacturing fertilizers and how they are added to the crops; familiarizing with them in all their types, whether they are foliar or organic; and their role in reducing the ratio of additional fertilizers to crops and fruit trees; familiarizing with Nano fertilizers and the way of uses them and their impact on productivity increase. In addition to introducing organic fertilizer, biogas technology, and the liquid compost resultant from it, which is considered primary booster for all cultivations and eco-friendly for humans and the environment
Dr Obaid indicated the significant and supporting role of ACSAD in deploying a culture of fertilizer uses in increasing the production of strategic crops through its implementation of many notable projects in the Arab countries to improve soil characteristics by adding fertilizers in all their types “organic, mineral, and biostimulant”. In addition to the Humic and Amino acid fertilization, treated sewage fertilizers, and biogas. ” This was represented by the productivity of the 1105 type in ACSAD, which reached 11 tons per hectare, with an increase of 50% of the production rate”
The course included several lectures where ACSAD’s experts and researchers had enriched it with new dimensions of development, knowledge, and science for the success and service of the joint Arab action and providing all new things in this field
Fifty-four trainees have participated in this course from many Arab countries, which continues for days
