His Excellency Dr Nasr Edin Obaid, the Director-General of the Arab Centre for the Studies of Arid Zones and Drylands “ACSAD”, and His Excellency, Dr Saeed Husain Eid, the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation in the Federal Republic of Somalia / Meeting.
The Director-General of the Arab Centre for the Studies of Arid Zones and Drylands ACSAD, His Excellency, Dr Nasr Edin Obaid, together with, His Excellency, the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation in the Federal Republic of Somalia, have discussed the cooperation relations between the two sides and the ways to enhance and develop them, especially making use of ACSAD’s applied and research experiences as an Arab distinguished House of expertise.
During the meeting and on the sidelines of his participation in Cairo Week of water, which has been held in Cairo in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in general, Dr Obaid presented a brief presentation of the Arab Center’s activities, tasks, and actions, especially in the field of agriculture and irrigation. He also expressed ACSAD’s readiness to cooperate more, exchange experiences and develop them between the two sides.
For his part, His Excellency, Dr Saeed Husain Eid, the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, praised the efforts exerted by the Arab Centre as well as its researchers’ activities and experiences, and its contribution to developing the Arabian agriculture and sustainable development, expressing his hope to making use from ACSAD’s experts in the applied and research activities to develop agriculture and irrigation in Somalia.
